Flu Clinic Announcement 11/1The Scituate Board of Health announces there will be ONE FLU CLINIC at: ST. MARY’S HALL The Scituate Board of Health is being allotted 390 doses that will be given on a first come, first serve basis if guidelines are met. Due to the vaccine shortage and Massachusetts Department of Public Health orders, criteria for getting a shot have changed and will be strictly enforced. A $10,000 fine will be assessed to providers who do not comply. They are as follows: • Individuals 75 years or older. ID required. • Individuals under 75 years old with one or more chronic medical conditions requiring frequent or ongoing medical management. This includes chronic disorder of the pulmonary or cardiovascular system, chronic metabolic diseases, renal dysfunction, blood diseases or immuno suppression.
* This does NOT include adults whose only condition is controlled high blood pressure, high cholesterol, arthritis, dermatitis or any other diagnosis which does not increase the risk of complications from influenza. • All women who are pregnant during the flu season. |
