Recreation Winter 2005 Registration November 20th.
Due to the high demand for programs and to be fair to all Scituate Residents, registration for Scituate Residents will begin SATURDAY, November 20, 2004, 8:00 A.M. TO 11:00 A.M. in the Scituate Recreation’s Multi-Purpose Room at Scituate High School.

Affordable Accessory Dwelling Information and Applications Now Available
In March 2004, Town Meeting approved zoning to allow Affordable Accessory Dwellings. For information on what's required, please see the attached link. If you have questions or need more information, please call Laura Harbottle, Town Planner at 781-545-8730.

Flu Clinic Announcement 11/1
The Scituate Board of Health announces there will be ONE FLU CLINIC at:
ST. MARY’S HALL
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2004
10:00 A.M.
The Scituate Board of Health is being allotted 390 doses that will be given on a first come, first serve basis if guidelines are met. Due to the vaccine shortage and Massachusetts Department of Public Health orders, criteria for getting a shot have changed and will be strictly enforced. A $10,000 fine will be assessed to providers who do not comply. They are as follows:
• Individuals 75 years or older. ID required.
• Individuals under 75 years old with one or more chronic medical conditions requiring frequent or ongoing medical management. This includes chronic disorder of the pulmonary or cardiovascular system, chronic metabolic diseases, renal dysfunction, blood diseases or immuno suppression.
* This does NOT include adults 18-49 with diabetes who only require diet or exercise for control.
* This does NOT include adults whose only condition is controlled high blood pressure, high cholesterol, arthritis, dermatitis or any other diagnosis which does not increase the risk of complications from influenza.
• All women who are pregnant during the flu season.
