INFORMATIONAL WORKSHOP ON HOME AND UTILITY ELEVATION GRANTS, Changed to TUESDAY, JUNE 26 AT TOWN LIBRARY

TOWN OF SCITUATE MASSACHUSETTS

PLEASE NOTE: THE INFORMATIONAL WORKSHOP ON HOME AND UTILITY ELEVATION GRANTS, WILL BE TUESDAY, JUNE 26 AT THE TOWN LIBRARY, NOT JUNE 19.

There will be a workshop on grants for elevating homes in FEMA designated flood zones at the Town Library on Tuesday, June 26 at 7:00 p.m. Grants are also available for elevating only utilities such as your furnace, hot water heater, and electric panel box. By offering these grants, the Town of Scituate has helped many homeowners better protect their homes and utilities from flood damage. If you own a home in the FEMA floodplain and have not yet elevated, you are strongly encouraged to come to the workshop to find out what's involved. Funding for the Town of Scituate's elevation grants is provided through FEMA's Flood Mitigation Assistance, Hazard Mitigation and Severe Repetitive Loss Grant Programs. For more information, please contact Laura Harbottle, Town Planner at lharbottle@town.scituate.ma.us or 781-545-8730.
