HEAT ADVISORY JUNE 21-22, 2012

Extreme heat is expected to last into tomorrow. People should use common sense and take the following steps:

Remain in air-conditioning whenever possible.

Drink plenty of fluids- avoid those with high alcohol or sugar content.

Replace salt and minerals and follow doctor’s instructions.

Wear appropriate clothing and sunscreen-limit sun exposure.

Outside workers should take frequent breaks , stay in shade or air-conditioning and HYDRATE.

Pace yourself.

Use buddy system to monitor each other’s health.

Don’t leave anyone in a parked car without operating the air-conditioning.

Check on friends or family members with health risks.

COOLING STATION
The Scituate Senior Center at 27 Brook St., Scituate will be open today until 4:30 pm and tomorrow from 8:30 -3pm. If you need a ride, Call 781-545-8722.
