Scituate Has Been Declared High Risk fo EEE

Scituate has been declared High Risk for EEE by the Mass. Department of Public Health as of 4:30 this afternoon (9/24/12). All outdoor dusk and nighttime activities are cancelled until further notice, at least until the first frost. Outside mosquito spraying can no longer be done because of cool temperatures. Personal Protection is of the UTMOST Importance!

Avoid dawn and dusk hours outside.
Wear long pants and long sleeves.
Wear mosquito repellant containing DEET.
Get rid of stagnant water.

Seek medical attention for a stiff neck, high fever or flu-like symptoms.
