MINUTES OF MEETING:

Call to Order Chairman Patricia Butler called the meeting to order at 4:35 PM.

Present: Patricia Butler, Mary Dean, Edward McCann

Absent: Susan Blair, Ethel Wheatley

Also Present: Paul DeLeo, Executive Director and Secretary to the Board

NEW BUSINESS:

The Board discussed the availability of funding alternatives for the development of affordable housing on the Driftway site. In the course of discussion, they decided they need to know more definitely what options are available to the Scituate Housing Authority – whether the land is developable at all, if so, how much and with what limitations. Further; the housing authority can maintain those options longer by limiting the current requests for funding to what is required to complete the pre-development site analysis phase.

The Board decided to apply to the Community Preservation Committee for $20,000 for Pre-Development site analysis costs as scheduled here:

1. Update of 1994 21E Environmental Survey $2,000
2. Soil and Percolation Testing $15,000
3. Wetland Deliniation and Topographic mapping $3,000

Concurrently, the Board will investigate the availability and terms of funding from the Massachusetts Housing Partnership, the Priority Development Fund, and any other source.

The Board then reviewed the draft application for funding from the Community Preservation Committee, and edited it accordingly.

The meeting adjourned at 5:50 PM.
