A SCITUATE HOUSING AUTHORITY REGULAR MEETING WAS HELD ON
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 28, 2010 AT 5:30 PM AT WHEELER PARK DRIVE IN SCITUATE, MA.

Call to Order: 5:50 PM

Bills and Communications

Acknowledgement of receipt of the monthly Maintenance Report for December 2010 was tabled to the January and will be encompassed in the end of year report.

On a motion by Mary Dean, seconded by John Zigouras, it was unanimously
Voted: To acknowledge receipt of the Reconciliation Reports for October 2010 and November 2010
Ayes: 3 Nays: 0 Abstained: 0

On a motion by Mary Dean, seconded by John Zigouras, it was unanimously
Voted: To acknowledge receipt of the Monthly Financial Reports for September 2010 and October 2010 (Cost Comparatives, Schedule of Non Routine Expenditures)
Ayes: 3 Nays: 0 Abstained: 0

Old Business

CenterPoint- CenterPoint researching financing
Window Boxes- Residents meeting to be scheduled for March
Stimulus Money-Chairperson, Pat Butler requested that Maryanne Lewis look into possible stimulus funding for developing affordable housing (Driftway property)
CPC Meeting 12/7/10- Chairperson, Pat Butler gave a brief summary of the meeting as it pertained to the Housing Authority applications
State Appointee-the Director was asked for an update on the state appointee position on the Board. At this time, the Housing Authority has received no indication of the appointment, however, the Director offered to follow up with the Governor’s office.
St. Frances Cabrini Rectory-Chairperson, Patricia Butler drafted a letter to the office of the Cardinal to present the request of Scituate Housing Authority. After reviewing the letter the Board made the following motion.

On a motion by Mary Dean, seconded by John Zigouras, it was unanimously
Voted: To send the letter to the Cardinal requesting that the Archdiocese of Boston give the rectory of St. Frances Cabrini to the Scituate
Housing Authority to be renovated and rented as an affordable housing unit, in perpetuity
Ayes: 4 Nays: 0 Abstained: 0

Member, John Zigouras offered to bring the plans for the rectory property to the next meeting.

New Business

The Board was presented with the Contract between the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Scituate Housing Authority, granting the amount of $337,261.00 as outlined in the June 16, 2010 formula funding award letter, for the purpose of capital improvements.

On a motion by Maryanne Lewis, seconded by John Zigouras, it was unanimously
Voted: To approve and execute the Contract for Work Plan 5001, Project No. 264018, between the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Scituate Housing Authority for $337,261.00 as outlined in the June 16, 2010 formula funding award letter.

On a motion by John Zigouras, seconded by Maryanne Lewis, it was unanimously
Voted: To adjourn the meeting, the time being 6:40PM
