Members present: Pam Davis-chairman, Rocky Carrabas, Joan Paley, Joan Powers, Jerry Fieremonte, Jim Harmon-vice-chairman, Rita Rozen, Florence Choate - COA director

The meeting was called to order at 6:05PM

The minutes from the May 13 meeting were accepted. Discussion for more detail in minutes was had. Minutes reflect requirements of open meeting law. The Chair advised the audience that questions and comments should be submitted in writing.

Director’s Reports: The money from the state grant (rate is $7.00 per senior) will be available July1st. We are hoping the money is not cut because of the state budget. Members of the senior softball time are volunteering to paint the front of the COA building. We will provide the paint. Seniors are happy with the variety of shopping trips being provided. The Senior Art Show was a big success despite the weather. Next year it will be held at the senior center. : Florence presented the outreach report and transportation report. 481 rides were provided to seniors in May.

Old Business: Feasibility study- Pam Davis talked with Rick Agnew about possibly canceling the study as the board had discussed in June. The town had decided to cancel it as there is no money to do anything with the study results. The money will stay in the budget for a study in the future.
SSES: Joan Powers will be the representative for us at the monthly meetings.

New Business: Concerns about the drop in policy were again addressed. The center is open except during yoga. St. Luke’s will continue with the Sunday supper.

SSA update: the fundraising letter will go out in June.
