Board of Health, January 5, 2010 TOWN OF SCITUATE MASSACHUSETTS Board of Health
Motion by Russell Clark to accept the Agenda, seconded by Michael Vazza and approved unanimously. 7:10 p.m. 2 Foxvine Lane/Public Hearing/McSweeney Terrence McSweeney of McSweeney Associates presented for the homeowner. There were no abutters present. It has a 1700 sq. ft. lot, and wetlands in the rear yard. The design utilizes an Elgin GSF innovative component in the leach area, which then allows a 40% reduction in the size. The system is currently using a leach line in the common easement for Arborway Estates. This design puts the entire system on the same lot as the house. Local upgrade variances requested are: Sieve analysis in lieu of perc test and locating the septic tank only 4’ from the cellar wall vs. the 10’ required and SAS from cellar wall 8’ vs. 20’. Motion by Russell Clark to approve upgrade request provided the existing force main is removed and capped at the property line. Frank Lynch seconded and the motion was unanimously approved. 7:20 p.m. 8 Claymore Terrace/Public Hearing/Dyson/Continued Phil Spath presented for the homeowner. Incomplete presentation from March 22, 2010 meeting this time providing a failed Title 5 report, photographs, water records, homeowner letter relative to the laundry situation, a more detailed plot plan, a letter of permission from a neighbor to connect to the existing spaghetti line and another neighbor’s letter granting permission for an easement to Beaver Dam Road if necessary. Russell Clark moved to approve the emergency sewer connection and Frank Lynch seconded. The motion was approved unanimously. Mike Vazza made a motion to adjourn meeting at 7:35 p.m., seconded and approved unanimously.
