Fall Schedule for the Scituate Council on Aging

Programs

• Badminton; Their new schedule will be Wednesdays at 6pm. They play at the Jenkins School gym.
• Yoga for Seniors: Led by Elizabeth Rogers on Wednesday morning from 9:00 – 10:00am. The Instructor sets the fee.
• TAI CHI: The instructor, Anthony McAlear has been a Tai Chi practitioner for over 35 years. Classes are Thursday morning at 9:00-10:15am.
• Cardio: Begins at the Senior Center on Tues, Sept 20th at 9:00am. It's a great group, lots of fun and a great workout.
• Country Western Dancing: Richard and his wife Ann are at the Senior Center on Thursdays at 10:30 am.
• Knitting Social: Every Thursday at 1:00pm a large group of ladies come to the Center to knit and get ideas and suggestions for knitting projects. There is no charge and usually there is a quantity of yarn that has been donated to the Senior Center.
• CARE GIVERS SUPPORT GROUP. Is available the 3rd Wednesday of the month @ 12:00pm to caregivers and offers them support, guidance and will assist them to secure appropriate resources. Please join us. Call Florence @ 781 545-8722.

New Programs

• MEMOIR WRITING : With instructor Dale Balog will begin Tuesday, September 13th at 1:00pm.Cost of 12 week course is $44.00, payable in two installments. Call 781-545-8722 to sign up.
• Chair Yoga: Has begun. It is an exercise to develop mind and body. Our wonderful yoga instructor, Elizabeth Rogers will be your instructor. Come and see how much better you feel. Every Wed mornings @ 10:30am at the Senior Center. Fee is $5.00 per class.

SHINE Presentation: Pier 44 on October 20th @ 10:00am. Peggy McDonough of Mass SHINE will be giving updates on Medicare for 2012. Call 781-545-8722 to reserve a seat.

Senior Art Show: October 8th form 10am- 4 pm at the Scituate Maritime Center. We are looking for artists who wish to display their work. Call 781-545-8722 and ask for Joanne, Florence or Jill.
