The Historical Commission is responsible for the preservation, protection, and enhancement of the historical and archeological resources of the town of Scituate. The Commission undertakes studies, prepares preservation plans, advises the Town and pursues a range of other actions to protect the community’s historic resources. The Commission was created through a vote of Town meeting in November 2006 and is subject to Massachusetts General Law Chapter 40 Sec. 8D
