SYNOPSIS OF ACTIVITIES
HOUSING AUTHORITY BOARD
OF COMMISSIONERS
A board comprised of five members. Four
members are elected at large by the town and one member
is appointed by the State Department of Housing and Community
Development. Each serves for a five year term and may be
re-elected.
FUNCTIONS OF THE BOARD:
The board acts as an administrative and
policymaking body. It meets on a regular monthly basis
and hold special meetings as necessary. The daily routine
operations are attended to by the Executive Director and
his/her staff.
HISTORY:
The Local Housing Authority was
duly created pursuant to Section 3 of Chapter 121B of
the Massachusetts General Laws on the 24th day of June,
1958. |
