GOALS & OBJECTIVES

GOAL:
To identify alternatives which retain natural and human values existing on
Peggotty Beach while providing a degree of environmental stability to town managers who maintain the beach’s infrastructure and it’s residents.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Understand the natural resources and human uses in the past and present;
  • Access land use change alternatives that comply with environmental and zoning regulations; and,
  • Recommend an implementation strategy for potential redevelopment and mitigation.

A. Natural Resources and Coastal Processes

    3. Projected impacts and sea level rise

  4. Wetland Resource Areas
    1. Land Under the Ocean
    2. Barrier Beach – Coastal Beach and Coastal Dunes
    3. Land Subject to Coastal Storm Flowage

B. Human Uses
